The University of Memphis Hands-on Learning – the Memphis Aquifer

As part of its education and outreach programming, CAESER, the Center for Applied Earth Science and Engineering Research at the UofM, works with K-12 schools to educate them about the source of their drinking water while linking the topic to existing curriculum. In this video, 6th grade students from the Maxine Smith STEAM Academy build a model of the Memphis aquifer, giving them a hands-on and visual understanding of how the aquifer works.
