...to share your pennies! Share the Pennies is a new, voluntary program sponsored by MLGW and Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA). Share the Pennies encourages MLGW customers to round their utility bill to the next highest dollar amount. Here's how it works: if your utility bill is $117.50 it will be rounded up to $118 and your $0.50 donation will be added to Project CARE, a home weatherization account managed by MIFA. Project CARE funds will be awarded to qualified elderly and/or disabled customers to assist with emergency energy efficiency repairs to their homes.
