Manga & the Environment

Via TreeHugger, I came across these images drawn by Japanese children (in collaboration with well-known manga artists) that reflect their feelings about global warming and other environmental concerns. To see all of the images, visit Japan's Environmental Ministry.

This also reminded me of a movie my family watched last week called The Great Yokai War in which the bad guys, called Yokai, are made from things that humans have thrown away. I don't think the main message is an environmental one, but it is a cool movie nonetheless! (If you have Comcast, this movie is listed on Channel One under the "Free Movies" section.)
