Ever notice how fun Memphis is in October? The nice weather is conducive to so many activities that it's often hard to do everything that you want to do. I just thought I'd remind you of a few eco-oriented things going on, in case your dance card has an opening...
Today is the EcoBUILD Home Tour in Uptown from 4-8pm. Green Drinks, an environmental cocktail hour of sorts, will also be happening concurrently at the Uptown Sales Office from 6-9.
Tomorrow is MLGW's Community Conservation Day and employees will be handing out conservation kits and information at all area Exxons. There will be at least two MLGW employees at each location. They'll be wearing bright orange shirts so they should be easy to spot!
Once you've seen Uptown's green houses and gotten some goodies to go green in your own home, why not get outdoors and enjoy one of Memphis' most precious natural resources? The Citizens to Preserve Overton Park will be leading a free nature hike through Overton Park's old forest this Saturday morning from 10:00-11:30am.
