In the Spring of 2003, Robert Wechsler reassembled nine salvaged bikes into a carousel formation and left it around the campus of UCSB (University of California, Santa Barbara) where it would attract a variety of riders.
Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.
The bike is modular and can be dismantled and reassembled. It would be fun to see something like this in Court Square or Overton Park or even in the lobby of the MLGW Administration building where I work. Hmmm...maybe I ought to challenge the guys at Revolutions to build something like this. (Then I can challenge them to make a Conference Bike!)
I'm also a fan of Wechsler's 2004 project involving Costco shopping carts.
