Home Depot Update

I told you that Home Depot launched a CFL recycling program in late June. Despite no signage, visible recycling containers or local promotion, I did confirm that the midtown Home Depot is accepting CFLs.

I went by yesterday to see if they had done anything to make the program more apparent to shoppers, but found no change from my last visit.

I spoke to the manager and he informed me that Home Depot headquarters "sometimes forgets about little ol' Memphis."

However, he is sure that they will have a full promotional display next week.

In the meantime, take your CFLs to the Service Desk and they will store them in the hazardous materials bin in the back of the store.
