This Saturday, June 28, MLGW will be participating in the Coalition for Livable Communities' 2nd Annual Summit for Neighborhood Leaders. This free event includes lunch, panel discussions, workshops and presentations geared toward community leaders working to make their neighborhoods better.
An MLGW representative will be on the panel of the Green Building for Everyone workshop. Other workshops include: Planning Boards and Commissions, The City-Suburb Connection, Getting to Work Using Public Transportation, The Youth Neighborhood Mapping Initiative, and Community Mapping and Visioning.
Mayor Wharton will make the closing remarks which will focus on his Sustainable Shelby, A Future of Choice, Not Chance initiative that is moving into the planning stage.
