St. Agnes students say thank you with cookies

Students from St. Agnes School for Girls have a new appreciation for electricity. The school and half of the student body were without power for several days during Winter Storm Landon. The Student Government Association Chaplain Larkin Stuppy encouraged students to hold a “cookie drive” to show their appreciation to the linemen who worked during the ice storm. Students delivered tables full of home-baked cookies to both Hickory Hill and North Service Center on February 24. MLGW electric workers, who had just returned from more restoration work in Shelby Forest and Millington, showed their gratitude by gobbling up those homemade cookies! Special thanks to the students of St. Agnes, and of course, to our MLGW and out-of-town restoration crews for all of their hard work.
