At MLGW, her focus is on occupational health, meaning returning people to work and making sure that they are fit to do their jobs.
She works with our Human Resources department to process ADA and FMLA issues. She's the point of contact between employees and their health care providers. Vernica also works with our Legal Department to process workers compensation claims when an employee is injured on the job.
If there's an emergency at work, Vernica may be called to perform first aid or advise on how to best handle the situation.
She says she loves her job, and we are all so very happy to have her watching out for us.
