Sales Will Help Provide
Utility Assistance to Families in Crisis
For $50, a patron can not only help
a family in need of utility assistance but also eat, drink and watch Memphis Mayor
Jim Strickland, Rapper Al Kapone and others locked in a lip-sync battle at the
Hard Rock Café, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., on April 14.
LipSync Plus ticket sales will benefit the Plus-1
Program, a Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division program administered by the
Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association.
LipSync Plus will feature Strickland, Kapone, Food
Network Star Gina Neely, Radio Host Bev Johnson, Mark “It’s All Good”
Goodfellow and the top four contestants from an online competition. The top
online winner will face the top celebrity in order to be named the LipSync Plus
Grand Champion.
The event is also presented by the Memphis Comedy
Festival, The Hard Rock Café, Tennessee Valley Authority, New Horizon
Apartments and WMC Action Five News.
