It’s almost time
for the “Play It Cool” program again, which involves MLGW partnering with Neighborhood Christian Center to donate window unit air conditioners
to low-income and disabled senior customers in Shelby County . The first screening is scheduled for Wednesday,
May 1 from 9
a.m. -3 p.m. at the Neighborhood Christian Center at 785 Jackson Ave. MLGW provides the air conditioning
units, while NCC conducts the screening and selection process.
To apply, applicants will need the following credentials on hand:
- Tennessee State ID or Drivers
License to verify age and address.
- The most recent pay stub or
Social Security Income statement to verify income.
- If you have a physical
disability but do not meet the age requirement you must bring the proper
certification information.
NCC will set up a
hotline recording for customers needing more information.

This is just plain wrong. MLG&W never used to do this Socialist stuff until the preachers got on the board. This is entanglement with organized religion.
