With the 40th anniversary of Earth Day to be celebrated on April 22, many local organizations are sponsoring events throughout the month to capitalize on increased environmental awareness. April 17: Earth Day at Navy Exchange, Millington
April 17: National Volunteer Week 5K Walk/Run, Shelby Farms
April 19: Earth Day at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
April 22: Go Green Night with the Memphis Redbirds, AutoZone Park
April 25: Down to Earth at Shelby Farms, 10am-5pm
