The Memphis Fire Department is currently performing their Spring time water hydrant flush. The MPD flushes hydrates throughout Memphis to ensure they are working properly. Due to this process, customers may notice sediment in their water when turning on their tap.
Customers should flush their systems to clear the water flow. Simply turn on your faucet and let the water flow for several minutes. The water from your faucet is safe to drink. If you still have concerns about your water supply, call MLGW at 544-6549.
