Being prepared isn't just for Boy Scouts. We all need to start preparing for rising energy costs.
Effective October 1st, TVA will start charging 10 to 20 percent more in the Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) rate. MLGW is required to pass the rate increase through to customers. (The exact amount of the increase is still to be determined.)
Reasons for the increase include the price of fuels commonly used to make electricity skyrocketing due to global supply and demand challenges and reduced low-cost hydro generation due to historic drought conditions.
As customers we have no control over the rates or the weather, but we can control our usage. The best way to lower energy costs is to use less energy. Simple, right? Click on our Summer One Stop and start saving today!
