Reverse mortgages are such a bad idea. If you sign up for this and you die before you receive your first payment from the bank they get your house. If the bank gives you the money back, and eventually buys the house back from you over that time period and you are still alive, then you are left homeless and with no assets. This just delays the problem, and in reality makes it a bigger/harder problem to deal with.
