The Business of Being a Church, a hands-on, educational seminar for ministers and administrative personnel of local churches, will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, from 9 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. at the MLGW Training and Development Center (4949 Raleigh-LaGrange).
The goal of the seminar is to provide information to faith leaders that they can later share with their congregations. Participants may choose from a variety of workshop topics ranging from crime prevention to generating energy cost savings through MLGW’s “My Bill” Dashboard. During lunch, attendees will also learn about EnergySmart, a partnership of MLGW, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and other government and community organizations designed to help Memphians save money on their energy costs.
The Business of Being a Church costs $5 per person, including lunch. Contact MLGW's Community Relations department at 528-4820 to receive additional information or to register for the seminar.
