"My Bill" Dashboard Goes Live

New “My Bill” dashboard puts you in the driver’s seat of home energy and utility bill management.

Have you often wished you could look up your past utility bills and compare them to the one you just got in the mail? Wouldn’t it be great to have an explanation for monthly fluctuations in your utility costs? If you answered yes, then here’s some good news: you can now view your past and present utility bills and trends online through MLGW’s new “My Bill” dashboard feature.

Just click on the “My Account” option on www.mlgw.com, sign into the program using your confidential user name and password (created by clicking on the “Sign Up” button displayed on the page), add your account number to the profile, and the “My Bill” dashboard will be launched displaying your personal account information.

From there, you can view the status and highlights of your current bill, or you can click on the new “Bill Analysis” option to view a summary of your utility bills for current or past months in a variety of ways, including side-by-side views of your current bill-to-previous bill or your current bill-to-previous year’s bill.

This type of comparison helps you determine whether your energy consumption is up or down. Other features then help you investigate the change which may be caused by equipment replacement, a room addition, or that week-long visit from your out-of-town relatives. You can also view, graph and download historic utility details in the “Bill History” section.

These new offerings are the first step in a 2007 initiative that ultimately will yield full-scale electronic billing and new bill payment options for all residential customers.
